Cadillac Community Says Four Winns Needs to Stay Local

The fate of Four Winns now lies in the hands of the highest bidder. Its parent company Genmar filed for bankruptcy protection back in June, and on Thursday all of its assets were up for auction. The only bidder named so far is a California-based company called Platinum Equity. In December, Jeff Olson, the president of Four Winns said if Platinum Equity won the bid, the company planned to keep Four Winns in Cadillac and even expand its production. As 9&10's Kalee Iacoangeli and photojournalist Jordan Nagel report, the community of Cadillac is equally as anxious and hopeful as Four Winns employees that the company stay put in Cadillac.
